Appointment Types: What to Book and When
Pick the option that fits your needs. If you are unsure, call us. For emergencies, call 911.
Meet & Greet – In-Clinic Visit
Best for: new patients who wish to register and meet the physician.
About: short introduction to confirm fit and review history – not for urgent or complex issues.
Bring: OHIP card, photo ID, medication list, key records.
Booking note: include your health card number in the reason for the appointment.
Follow-Up – In-Clinic Visit
Best for: concerns needing a physical examination or procedures (ear checks, joint exams, some skin concerns) or when your doctor asks to see you in person.
Bring: OHIP card, photo ID, medication list, relevant reports.
Arrival: please arrive 10 minutes early.
Follow-Up – Video Visit (Virtual)
Best for: results review, medication adjustments, minor concerns not needing an examination.
You will need: device with camera and microphone, internet, quiet space.
How it works: we send a secure video link; join a few minutes early.
Have ready: medication list, home readings (BP or glucose), recent results.
Follow-Up – Telephone Call (Audio)
Best for: quick reviews, simple questions, prescription renewals, or results that do not need video or examination.
Booking note: include the best phone number to reach you and keep your phone nearby at the appointment time.
After-Hours and Walk-In Clinic
When it runs: Weekday evenings and alternate weekends on selected days. Hours vary. Check with reception. Capacity is limited and registration may close once full.
How to access care:
Walk-in: no appointment needed during posted after-hours times. Patients with more urgent needs are seen first.
Book a spot (limited): a small number of same-day after-hours slots are released shortly before each session.
Online: use the Patient Portal or the Book Now button.
Phone: call reception and request an after-hours booking.
If online slots are full, walk-in remains available until capacity is reached.
Virtual triage: if you have respiratory symptoms or cannot attend in person, we may switch you to a phone or video assessment when appropriate.
Suitable for non-life-threatening issues: sore throat or ear pain, coughs and colds, sinus or eye infections, UTIs, minor skin issues or rashes, simple wound care, minor sprains or strains, back pain, non-severe headaches, short prescription renewals or bridge scripts (at clinician discretion).
Not suitable for: emergencies, routine physicals, complex chronic reviews, forms, or controlled-substance starts.
On arrival (walk-in and booked): bring your OHIP card, photo ID, medication list with doses, and allergies. Booked patients should arrive 10 minutes early. Late arrival may lead to re-triage or loss of the slot and you may be moved to the walk-in queue. All patients are triaged and higher-urgency cases are prioritised.
Fees and coverage: most services are OHIP-covered. Some uninsured items (for example forms or notes) may have a fee. We will advise before proceeding.
After your visit: we document your care and arrange follow-up with your regular clinician if needed. Prescriptions can be sent electronically to your chosen pharmacy. Any lab or imaging requisitions include locations and typical timelines.
Accessibility and safety: lift access is available. Please wear a mask if you have cough or fever. For children under 16, a parent or guardian should attend. Tell us if you need an interpreter or mobility assistance.
Helpful Reminders
If you have fever, cough, or flu-like symptoms, please call us. Your visit may be moved to video or phone.
To cancel or change an appointment, please give 24 hours’ notice to avoid a missed-appointment fee.
